1) Editorial Independence (Non‑Negotiable)

Ads and sponsorships never influence editorial selection, layout, or reviews.

Editors do not sell or price ads. Advertisers do not preview or approve editorial content.

Paid partners cannot request keyword insertion or link placement inside editorial stories.

2) What We Accept
We welcome tasteful, brand‑safe advertising relevant to our audience (luxury, fashion, grooming, automotive/performance, travel, spirits/champagne, watches/jewelry, fitness/tech, financial services, lifestyle services), subject to legal compliance and our review.
Restricted / Prohibited Categories
Prohibited: illegal products/services; hate speech; disinformation; counterfeit goods; escorting/adult services; explicit sexual content; deepfakes/impersonation; weapons sales; recreational drugs; tobacco/vape; payday/high‑APR loans; medical claims without substantiation; misleading “before/after” health or income claims; spyware/surveillanceware.
Restricted (case‑by‑case & jurisdiction‑dependent): alcohol; gambling; political ads; crypto/digital assets; supplements; automotive performance parts; financial products. Additional targeting, age‑gating, and disclosures may be required.
3) Placement Types

Native Sponsored Features: custom story produced in partnership; clearly labeled, separate from editorial.

Social/Newsletter Add‑Ons: onsite placements may include optional owned‑channel amplification when appropriate and disclosed.

Print: full page, double‑truck, inside front/back cover (subject to availability).
No pay‑for‑play covers or editorial features. Cover, feature, and interview decisions remain editorial.
4) Creative Standards & Specs
General rules: creative must be brand‑safe, truthful, and technically compliant. All claims must be substantiated and reflect typical results.

File types: JPG/PNG/GIF (animation ≤15s, ≤3 loops); HTML5 polite load; third‑party tags (SSL only).

Audio: off by default; user‑initiated only.

Click URL: provide final click‑through and UTM parameters; one (1) landing URL per unit.

5) Data, Targeting & Brand Safety

Audience targeting: contextual and first‑party segments only; no sale of personally identifiable information.

Privacy: we honor user privacy choices and comply with applicable laws (e.g., GDPR/CCPA where applicable).

Brand safety: we use blocklists, category controls, and human review; advertiser may supply additional exclusions.

Viewability: reported using standard third‑party tags where available; makegoods considered if measured viewability falls materially below the IO threshold.
6) Influencers, Gifting & Reviews

Influencer/creator activations facilitated by InstaBad require clear disclosures across all channels.

Gifted/loaned products may be accepted for consideration only; coverage is not guaranteed and will be labeled “Gifted.”

Reviews/round‑ups reflect honest opinion; we do not guarantee outcomes or rankings.
7) Legal & Compliance

Advertisers warrant they have rights to all creative, marks, and endorsements.
-
Claims (health, financial, performance, environmental) must be truthful, typical, and substantiated. Disclosures must be clear and conspicuous on landing pages and within creative.

Alcohol/gambling/political/financial/supplement ads must meet age‑gating and jurisdictional rules.
-
Site is intended for audiences 18+; we do not knowingly target children.
8) Booking, Billing & Cancellations

Insertion Orders (IOs): required for all buys; first‑time advertisers prepay.
-
Invoicing: net‑30 for approved accounts; late fees may apply.
-
Cancellations: ≥14 days before start—no fee; 7–13 days—50% of remaining IO; <7 days or in‑flight—100% of remaining IO. Production costs are non‑refundable.

Makegoods: provided at our discretion for delivery shortfalls or material technical issues attributable to us.
9) Measurement & Reporting

Standard reports include impressions, clicks, CTR, and flight dates; viewability/attention metrics when supported by tags.

We can place approved third‑party tags (SSL) subject to latency/security review.
10) Quality Control & Rejection Rights
We may reject, pause, or remove any creative or landing page that:
(a) fails technical checks; (b) violates this policy or applicable law; (c) risks user security/experience (e.g., malware, auto‑redirects, excessive pop‑ups); or (d) conflicts with our brand standards. We will notify the advertiser and, where feasible, provide a path to remediation.
11) Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The version posted on InstaBadMagazine.com is the controlling version. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new Effective date.
